This Week Could Be a Four Day Workweek Test for Many Companies

For a lot of people, the three-day weekend is over . . . but the good news is: There's a shorter, four-day workweek ahead.

Many people like to think about these short weeks as a LIGHTER workload . . . but what if this week could serve as a test to show that a four-day workweek could be just as productive . . . EVERY week.

In a new survey, 69% of people believe they could do their job in 32 hours per week. Only 29% did NOT think that was possible, while 3% aren't sure.

Millennials are most likely to think they could make it work (75%) . . . followed closely by Gen Z and Gen X (both at 70%). Baby Boomers are far less convinced. Only 48% of working Boomers think a four-day week would work.

And if it DID happen, what additional day would you like off? In the survey, workers overwhelmingly preferred Friday (55%) over Monday (24%).

(Study Finds)

(Why aren't Boomers into it?)

(Maybe it's because they're slower . . . maybe it's because they built their careers on traditional schedules . . . or maybe it's because they know if they have another day off, they'll just have to babysit the grandkids.)

(Or, maybe it's because they're the most realistic, and they know there's been a TON of talk about four-day workweeks over the years . . . and not only has it NOT happened, but we're working HARDER and LONGER.)

(Most people LOVE the concept . . . but it probably won't happen unless employers are incentivized or forced to switch to a shorter week.)

(And many workers would really only do it if they could maintain a similar salary and benefits . . . while also keeping a similar workload.)
