Got the weekend going at a special event for Taco John's! They invited us up to their test kitchen to try out some new products including a new taco pizza THAT WE GOT TO MAKE. I didn't get to keep the apron but the shirt is all mine. They also had this new drink that I can't say too much about but HONEY WHEN THAT THING DROPS, it is gonna be so refreshing for the nice weather coming!
I went and got my first ever full body massage, shoutout to Massage Envy. I think I bit off more than I could chew because I told the woman to be firm which was like 3 out of 4 on the level of pressure they could give and I'm still sore. Also, since it was my first time I did something SO embarrassing... I don't wanna spoil it so we may talk about it on the show.
Probably the highlight of the weekend - we went to Surly for Falen's birthday. I had never been to Surly and I just started my journey in tasting beers so this was interesting. I did find a beer that I liked, called the Velvet Jam. I think I'm more of a sours type of guy.
Ted, his girlfriend Abby, his sister Maggie, and I went out to eat after leaving Surly. I wish I could tell you the name of this restaurant but as you may or may not be able to tell by the smize on my face, I may have been under the influence here. I might not have been though, use your imagination!
I really feel like I tapped into my inner Minnesotan this weekend. I tried beer for the first time and I made it out to the Stone Arch. I had heard nothing but great things and yesterday was the last day it was open before renovations start for like two years so I went. The views, the weather - PERFECT. Plus it was my 9 month anniversary of moving away from home so it only felt fitting to come out here and do this.
