- Don't be afraid to take risks - You're young!
- Don't take out $100k in student loans for a career that earns $30k a year
- Don't make life decisions based on friends. You probably won't even talk to them in five years
- Start investing early
- Get out of your home town
- Don't lower your expectations for anyone. Your happiness comes first!
- There's more to life than what people think of you
- It's ok to take a gap year
- There are more options after high school than college! Trade school, jump into the workforce, etc.
- Save money. Even if you're just putting a little bit in here & there
- If going to college, get an internship as soon as you can
- Don't make decisions about your future based on what your parents want
- Buying flashy things won't make you happy in the long run. Relationships with your family & friends will.
- You don't need college to be successful
- It's not what you know, it's who you know. Make sure you network network network!
