Friday had a big highlight and a disaster. We took my mom to TI to see the Beach Boys. She hadn't seen them since she was about 19, and I'd never seen them. It was super fun especially since they did their Christmas songs too. Bruce in the band gave KDWB a shoutout saying he helped launch the station in the 50s which was so cool. Of course I didn't get it on video. On the way home, it was snowing, and traffic was slow, and we hit something in the middle of the road. Our tire went flat immediately, so poor Jake took about 30-40 minutes trying to get it changed in the snow.
Saturday Olive had dance, and they did a quick little performance for parents at the end. This is her instructor, Kate:)
Today we made cookies. There was a disaster in the mix. I tried to make NYT chocolate chip cookies because they're allegedly SO good. Just google NYT chocolate chip cookies, and they'll pull up. You have to leave the dough in the fridge for 24 hours. I started making them today and knew something was very wrong. I learned I forgot to put some of the flour in. It calls for cake flour, which I put in, and it also calls for dough flour. I missed that part. I just assumed it would be 1 type of flour. Anyway, they turned out horribly. BUT we made some other cookies that turned out great!
We have 4 more wishes to grant this year, and then Christmas. My family is flying in on Wednesday, and I'm very excited! Thank you for looking at my pics!
