This weekend started off heavy. I flew home Thursday night so I could be with my bestie, Sam for her dad's funeral. This year two of my best friends have lost their dads. I couldn't go home earlier this year for Jessica's dad's funeral due to covid, but I was able to go this time. Sam's dad was hilarious and had a huge laugh. He lived about 2-hours away from us, and I spent many weekends taking the trip to Kentucky to spend the weekend with her there. We laughed a ton, and it's how I learned every lyric to Garth Brooks and The Eagles greatest hits...on those car rides. I loved him, and I know it's been incredibly hard for my best friend.
I came home at 6a on Saturday morning and had to get muffins for the princess party Sunday. Then I hung out with Olive, and after she went to bed, I started watching the EXTRA creepy Jeffrey Dahmer show on Netflix.
Today we had the princess party at Edinborough Park in Edina, and it was amazing. I highly recommend taking your kids there. It's especially glorious in the winter since it's indoors. The Magical Moments princesses truly made the event, and we raised a lot of money for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. I hope we do another one next year or sooner! I hope you had a great weekend. We've had the windows down truly enjoying this weather!
These are a few of the kiddos that were in my new mom's class at Amma. They're all 3 now! So big:)
