Well, this weekend had a surprise turn. I was supposed to have surgery on Tuesday this week. Quick backstory-in December, I got my first period since having Olive, and it didn't stop. Fast-forward, they found what they thought was placenta left behind in an ultrasound. SO we needed to remove it. Well, Thursday, I started my next actual period, but the blood was insane. It worried me, so I called Friday, and they had me go in for surgery Friday night.
I was so nervous. I have never had surgery (this was outpatient), and I've never been sedated.
The worst part by far was getting an IV in. They COULD NOT get it in a vein. It was awful. I've always been told I have the best veins, and I've never had an issue. Well, I had one nurse try my left hand and left wrist. They brought in a new nurse to try my right hand. Then a 4th nurse came in annoyed and easily got my right hand....while another nurse was drawing blood from my left arm. I wince even writing that because it was rough. Anyway, they got it. After they got in, there were blood clots and a lot of stuff they didn't expect. I never spoke to the doctor, Jake did, so I honestly don't even know everything. I was pretty out of it. I don't remember this picture. AND I was not a funny person, I was more sad coming off the drugs. HAHA
Saturday, I surprisingly felt fine. I hadn't eaten in 24 hours, so I had some delicious breakfast, and then went to a Nordic Winter Party with my friend, Harry. We decorated cookies, listened to a discussion about SAD and more.
Also, I spent some quality time with my girl. Her favorite thing besides putting her hands in her mouth is pulling my hair. I am SO thankful I have thick hair because my hair is falling out NONSTOP! Luckily, I haven't noticed it being a big deal on my head.
AND today, we tried a Zumbini class (with some of the moms in my mom group). It's a class you take your kids to. It was just a pop up class at the new Lulu store at MOA, but the instructor hosts other classes in NE MPLS.
