This was actually a weekend where it was hard to pic pictures because I had a lot I wanted to share. SO I'll kick it off with Friday night. We had dinner with our friends, Kate and Joe. Kate is an awesome cook, so she made an amazing dinner.
Saturday was Jake's birthday, and because he's an overachiever, he ran a half-marathon. He made good time especially since he stopped for a while to help a guy who collapsed. I really hope that guy is okay. Jake gave him some of his energy packets, but he was pretty sure the ambulance came for him.
Saturday I mostly prepped for Jake's party which was at the white party in the Sculpture Garden. You buy the food and decor for your table and decorate etc. They have a dj and band and other fun stuff. Well, because it's MN, it was raining most of the time. I was so frustrated because I spent a lot of time and money on everything and was just hoping for a nice night. Everyone still had fun despite the rain.
AND everyone kept coming to our table to see our charcuterie board which was from The Grazerie.
We had a pretty relaxed Sunday with breakfast at Tilia. Jake and his brother have been putting gutters on my mom's house, so they're doing that now while I'm resting because my hips have really been bothering me. They're actually making sleep way worse than peeing has! I've had a lot of people recommend a chiropractor. I've never been, but I might go! I also wanted to share this quilt my friend in Seattle made me. I know her from Reno, and I didn't give her any direction with this. I just got it in the mail yesterday, and it's so cute and so perfect!
