How much do you have saved in your bank account?
A new survey has found that 46 percent of Millennials have no money in savings. Zip. Zero. Nada. And, unfortunately, that number has jumped quite a bit from the 31 percent of Millennials who admitted they didn’t have money in savings last year.
If we look at 18-24 year old (young millennials,)
$0 saved:
In 2016: 31 %
In 2017: 46%
Less than $1,000 saved:
In 2016: 41%
In 2017: 21%
$1,000 to $4,999 saved:
In 2016: 15%
In 2017: 15%
$5,000 to $9,999 saved:
In 2016: 4%
In 2017: 5%
$10,000 or more saved:
In 2016: 8%
In 2017: 13%
Even now if we look at "older Millennials," those ages 25-34... 41% have ZERO in the bank and 20% have less than $1000 saved.
