Actors Who Were Killed, Kidnapped, or Otherwise Traumatized on Movie Sets

Movie sets can be dangerous places. Here are some examples:

1.  Brendan Fraser was almost suffocated for REAL during a scene in "The Mummy" where they try to hang him.

2.  Michael J. Fox actually lost consciousness when a hanging scene went wrong in "Back to the Future Part 3".

3. Almost 100 people were poisoned on the set of "Titanic", when someone spiked some chowder with PCP.  Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio weren't working that day.

The culprit has never been caught, but James Cameron says he has a "pretty strong suspicion" who did it.

4.  Isla Fisher almost drowned doing a water tank escape trick in "Now You See Me", because a release chain got caught in her costume.

5. The hair and makeup guy was kidnapped from the set of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" in Mexico. They only had to pay 300 bucks to get him back.

6. Actor Vic Morrow and two Vietnamese child actors were killed while filming 1982's "Twilight Zone: The Movie", when a helicopter crashed and landed on them.

7.  Jim Caviezel was struck by lighting while filming the Sermon on the Mount in "The Passion of the Christ".

8.  Bo Derek was attacked by a lion for real during the filming of "Tarzan, The Ape Man".
