My immediate answer to this was no. (Unless you add the word "ass" at the end.). But what about you?
Would you say you're a "wise" person? There's no minimum age. An 80-year-old can be wise, and so can an eight-year-old.
A new study at the University of Waterloo in Canada looked at the top traits that make a person wise.
They polled people in a dozen countries across five continents, and found their answers were consistent no matter where they lived.
They boiled it down to two things: In order to be "wise," you have to have "reflective orientation" and "socio-emotional awareness." (Does it mean I'm not wise if I have no idea what that means?)
"Reflective orientation" means you're able to think logically . . . control your emotions . . . reflect on things . . . and apply knowledge in a useful way.
"Socio-emotional awareness" means you care about other people's feelings . . . have good intentions . . . and you're mindful of how you interact in social settings.
Most people in the study said they DON'T think they're very wise . . . which, let's be honest, is probably right.
