What's up, I'm Vont Leak, new host of The Night Show on KDWB. I probably have the shortest yet most interesting radio career story ever. I immediately got bit by the radio bug when I got to college. I joined WPSC-FM and co-hosted an award-winning morning show and became the Program Director (I ran the station). As soon as I graduated, I applied for a couple jobs and quickly got one in Des Moines with iHeartRadio. I packed up my entire life and moved from New Jersey to Iowa in less than three weeks. Then, literally on MY FIRST DAY, I got the call to come host nights on KDWB. And now I'm here, living the dream in the Twin Cities.
Born and raised in Central Jersey (yes, it's a real thing), I have a sarcastic sense of humor (Minnesota nice DOES NOT exist anywhere on the East Coast). I grew up watching and eventually going to tapings of late-night comedy shows like SNL and Jimmy Fallon. I’ve actually been to several live tapings in NYC. Talk and variety shows are what sparked my love for the entertainment industry. I actually performed at a comedy club in NYC in 2021 and hope to have my own late-night show one day. I try to be a foodie but I am VERY picky - much pickier than a 22 year old should be.
I moved to the Twin Cities by myself and have so much to learn about this beautiful place. Let me know where I can get a good cocktail and please don’t force me to do the Polar Plunge to be accepted here!
