Energetic, lighthearted, and relatable: that’s Matt Holiday on the air. A New York kid who couldn’t stop listening to the radio in college, he interned at several stations and then scored his first on-air gig in the most modern way possible, through an Instagram DM. That was 2018. Since then he’s hosted afternoons, nights, and weekends across Top 40 and country, and he’s also served as an assistant program director and music director. Matt’s proudest moment is a comeback story. After a layoff left him digging out of a tough spot, he joined iHeartMedia just three months later and reached one of his career goals.

Matt can juggle, which is handy for someone balancing sports, music, food, travel, and the gym. He also spent time interning with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which builds broadcast studios in children’s hospitals so young patients can make their own media. He saw Rihanna, the Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato at his very first concert, and his favorites now include Charlie Puth, sombr, and Justin Bieber. Billy Joel’s “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” is the song he never skips, and he’ll never turn down pizza, wings, or tacos.
