Jenny's Trip to Bali in Way Too Many Pics!

I hosted my first group trip and we headed halfway across the world to Bali!

We kicked off the trip by visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest.

We visited the famous Kanto Lampo waterfall. You can see more pics of that here and a video of how good the Bali photographers are at their job!

The first few nights we stayed in Ubud at this gorgeous hotel called Sthala!

One morning I went on a solo adventure to see another waterfall called Tegenungan. I got there right when it opened so I had it all to myself!

One of the main things I was looking forward to on this trip was the Water Purification ceremony. It was an experience I can't describe but I left it feeling amazing :)

We explored Ubud one day and checked out Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati, also known as the Water Palace. It was STUNNING.

Doing the Bali swings wasn't in the itinerary but our guide ended up adding a few extra things in so we got to go to a place called Swing Heaven. They have dressed you can rent to get the perfect photos. I'm happy I did this because the swings overlooking the landscape were gorgeous and some of them were crazy high so there was a bit of an adrenaline rush, however this was such an Instagram tourist trap so it's something I wouldn't do again.

We spent the whole day on a farm called Rumah Desa learning all about the Balinese lifestyle. Families live together their whole life in a compound. Our guide had 39 people living with him. Females move into their husbands compounds and divorce does happen so then they move back to their family's if they get divorced. We also learned how to write in Balinese, make offerings, cooked a bomb recipe, made coconut oil, did some farming in rice fields and so much more. This was a of people's favorite part of the trip!

This is the offering I made. That tag in the middle say's "Jenny" in Balinese :)

After a few days in Ubud, we headed to Canggu. I did a little shopping and found some cute jewelry from this market!

I'm obsessed with the coffee scene in Bali and would often get multiple coffees a day to check out all the different shops! This place is called Kawisari and I had it all to myself :)

We visited Taman Ayun Temple, which is the second largest temple in Bali and was SO gorgeous!

And on the last day I impulsively got a tattoo of a lotus flower and love it!

We did so much more than what I talked about here and will have articles up on my travel blog in the next couple weeks. Reminder you can check out my travel blog on meetmeoffgrid.com. I also have more pictures and videos on my Instagram!
