I had planned to head north for the weekend in my camper van. Got it all packed up and as I was walking towards it I noticed something hanging low. After further investigation, my muffler had detached, maybe from the accident I was in, maybe from rust, who knows! But I do know, it wasn't safe to drive so my weekend plans got ruined.
I was bumming out real hard Friday cause I was so excited to get away from the city and spend some time in nature. When I woke up Sat morning I decided I was still going to head up north, even if it was just a day trip. So I packed up my Mazda and headed out. I hit up a coffee shop, stopped by some stores, then did some hiking at Lester Park
Drove to the North Shore scenic route, made myself a sandwich and enjoyed the view of Lake Superior.
I was SOOOOO excited that Great! Lakes Candy Kitchen opened up on Saturday for the season so I had to hit it up. If you ever go, you gotta try the sea salt caramel, it's to die for!
I debated booking a cheap place to stay the night but I had the energy to drive back home so I saved the money on a hotel and headed back to the Cities. Then Sunday was back to reality with lots of house stuff. I did some spring cleaning, including washing all my baseboards, then tackled some caulking I've been putting off.
