I woke up Thanksgiving morning and immediately turned on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love watching it every year and got a quick workout in at the same time!
We spent Thanksgiving at Andrew's parents house. Andrew's mom made this new sweet potato dish with nuts on top and its hands down the best thing I had at Thanksgiving. I told her she needs to make it every year now!
I always make an apple pie and Andrew's Grandma made a couple more desserts. We had to try all of them!
Right after we were done with Thanksgiving we drove up to Lutsen to spend the rest of the weekend at Andrew's Grandpa's cabin! I spent a day and a half, with breaks in between, putting together this puzzle. It was missing a ton of pieces so that made it a little more difficult but I was proud I was able to put it together still.
One day we took a drive to this little maple syrup shack in the woods. It's called Wild Country Maple Products. You serve yourself & its based on an honor system so we had it to ourselves and bought maple syrup, honey, & maple caramels.
The maple caramels are the best caramels I've ever had! We ate the entire 10 pack in 2 days.
We also hiked Devil's Kettle. It was a chilly hike but worth it!
We strolled around Grand Marais for a bit and as we were about to leave we saw this amazing sunset!
They lit up the town Christmas tree the night before so we had to get a picture in front of that as well!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I put together a huge guide for the North Shore on my travel blog if you want to check it out!
