Here in Utah, we have a massive connection to Hawaii, whether it's through transplants from the islands here in the Metro or BYU's satellite campus, and everything in between. And here in Salt Lake County, there's a local business looking to help out the victims of the Maui Wildfires.
Hokulia Shave Ice brings a taste of Hawaiian dessert to the south of the metro, and with their island flavors and roots, have also offered some big help. They actually donated all of their proceeds from Saturday (8.19.23) to the relief funds with the Red Cross.
