On Friday I took my friend Nurse Wendi and her friend Carolyn up for a fall leaf-peeping flight. We flew up to Lake Mille Lacs and yes, the leaves had turned but I gotta be honest; seeing them from 2500 feet wasn’t as spectacular as I’d hoped. Seeing them from close up is MUCH better. But we had a great flight anyway and Carolyn got to fly the plane for a while!
These are twins, Jodie and Jill, from Wisconsin. I met them a few months ago and they love the show and know more about it than I do! I asked them if they ever wanted to go flying and they said “Yup!” I picked them up in Rice Lake and flew them over their houses, which is a must, of course, when someone is going for a ride in a small plane!
Allison’s girls came over on Saturday and spent the night. I don’t remember what we’re doing here on the floor but they seem pretty engaged! :)
One of the highlights of the weekend was absolutely a little dance party we had in the kitchen. I found this light show box online for 65 bucks and it really is amazing. Sunday, we took the girls to Minnesota’s largest candy store. That place still continues to amaze me. The girls absolutely loved it and I was able to get them out of there with only a couple of items each!
