Seriously, the weather was SO perfect for the 4th of July weekend! It was hot, it was sunny, it was amazing! If you've lived in Minnesota for awhile, you know that a lot of holiday weekends are either partly wet and cloudy, or mostly wet and cloudy. But not this one! I hope you got outside and loved your weekend!

Mine started in Colorado. I'm out for a hike and way off in the distance is Pikes Peak. Like a lot of nature shots, it looks great in person but not quite as good in a picture!
This is taken on the hill behind the house I grew up in in Colorado. I'm sitting on a bench I had made that's a memorial to my mom and dad. It's one of my favorite places to be.
One more from Colorado. I rented a car and had a choice of any of the compact cars on their lot. I chose this one, a Chevy Spark, because I'd never driven a tiny car like this and I wanted to see what it was like. I really enjoyed it's simplicity. No computerized AC or seats on this one. Just simple and fun!
Back in Minnesota! This is me in the Chanhassen 4th of July parade. I was in my wife's Board and Brush entry, saying hi to the crowd and throwing out freezer pops!
This is Allison and her best friend Kaila before the parade. They've been best friends since they were 3 and have babies just a few months apart.
Sunday night we sat outside and played a game called "Coda" which I loved because it was simple to learn and a lot of fun!
Monday, we went to Lake Minnewashta with Ava and Allison. Ava had been to a lake before but never to an actual beach where she could get in the water. She didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either!
