Okay, I'm exhausted. What a weekend! It was great but very tiring.
Friday night my band, Dat Brass Doe played in the Father Hennepin Days Parade. We had a great time and thanks to everyone in the band and Steve for all the hard work and practice! Our next parade is the St. Louis Park "Park-tacular" coming up this Saturday.
Saturday, we were up at 5am to drive up north to the Superior Hiking Trail to hike 34 miles with the Boy Scouts.
We're wearing bug nets because the mosquitoes were terrible.
Not many people use the Superior Hiking Trail, and for good reason. It's choked with tree roots that you have to constantly step over, so you have to look down all the time. Not that there's much to see, because it's such thick forest there's no views of the lake, mountains, or much of anything. NOT a recommended trail at all, at least not the section we did, by Finland, MN.
We did like THIS part. We eventually hiked up the mountain on the right and it about killed me! But I made it!
After 34 miles, we made it!
