Thursday was my Friday - Regular Guy and I went to Costco so he could experience his first ever Costco hot dog.
Thursday I also went attended my first house showing! It was so cute and I loved it - but the AC, furnace, and roof would all need to be replaced within the next few years... Expensive. Onward and upward!
Friday was the State Speech Tournament. I had 3 qualifiers, 3 cheerleaders, and one of my students made it to a final round! Here's the team celebrating!
She ended up getting 5th place in Poetry Interpretation. YAY! 5th in the State!! Here's the coaching staff with our magnificent speaker.
Both Friday and Saturday at the tournament, I got to host the livestream on the Neighborhood Sports Network. I talked prior to the awards ceremony about the activity, then got to interview winners! This particular winner was someone I worked with for the National History Day contest when he was a 6th grader - now a champion in Creative Expression as a 9th grader!
Saturday night I picked up a last minute Spotlight evaluation and saw Urinetown at Hopkins High School. It was a great show!
Sunday was our team banquet to celebrate the end of the year. We give out awards, tell stories, and crown next year's captains. This year we say goodbye to NINE (!) seniors! Ugh, I love these kids so much.
