Bailey's Summer Cold Weekend in 5 Pics

Friday after work I headed to Mounds View to clean out the closet we keep all our Speech & Debate stuff in with my assistant coach, Miranda. We filled an entire trash bin and overflowed the recycle bin!

Saturday I blew the first whistle at the North Star Roller Derby 3rd Annual Pride Bout. I'd never seen roller derby before and tried to understand the rules... I didn't quite get it. It was very hot, but it was neat! Shoutout Peter and Baller!

Their mascot is a narwhal! And instead of the national anthem, they sing Rainbow Connection, so I brought my Kermit!

This weekend I saw 4 shows:

The Secret Garden musical, which I had never seen before and it was so good!! I went in blind, not knowing the company or anyone in it, and I was so pleasantly surprised.

I'm 35, I'm Defying Gravity, which was a birthday celebration table read of Wicked by Roz Prickel, who's a somebody in the Twin Cities. Just her and her talented friends singing songs from Wicked for her birthday. Sounds like the perfect celebration to me!

Hairspray at Minneapolis Community Theatre, my friend Vienna played Penny!

Support Women's Wrongs at The Hive Collaborative, which was put on by the company Weird in Public. It was a cabaret of all angry woman songs! So good.

Vienna is a former Disney coworker I worked with, so me and a bunch of my other Disney people went to see her! It's always fun to reconnect with them after our store closed in 2022.

Spent a lot of time with Capp this weekend - it seemed like I was busy but I actually did a lot of sleeping and laying around with a summer cold! I feel like garbage!
