What's wild is I worked so, so much this weekend, but I still managed to sleep more than I usually do.
On Friday night, I had a date night with my friend Sarah Collie - she just moved here from St. Cloud, where we went to college. We got apps and cocktails at Nightingale (and had a Ricotta Bruschetta which was DELICIOUS) and then headed to HUGE Theater to see some improv!
My favorite improv group, The Bearded Company, are doing an improvised Dungeons and Dragons campaign called Swords and Sorcery every Friday night at 7:30pm at HUGE Theater in Uptown. It's been so long since they last performed, so I got my seat in the front row and ROLLED WITH LAUGHTER for an hour and a half. Then, we stayed after for the next show, Ka-baam! which was a comic book improv show starring my friend, Justin!
A big weekend at the Renaissance Festival, where I work for the Danger Committee selling chocolate. I met a lot of listeners! Thanks for saying hi, y'all!
Saturday night, we opened Improvised Twilight Zone at HUGE Theater. The set I was in was reeeeally weird, but hey, it's The Twilight Zone. Things are weird. The rest of my performances in the run are on: Sept 21st, Sept 28th, Oct 12th, and Oct 19th.
After our show, we had a cast party at one of our director's SUPER CUTE home. Like all improv parties, we ended up doing bits for each other. Just like an episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show.
