Camila Cabello is finally seeing a positive result two years after bleaching her hair.
On Wednesday (February 11), the "Havana" singer, 28, shared an update on her hair health on Instagram two years after what she is calling "bleachgate." Cabello launched her blonde bombshell era in February 2024 after trading her long, naturally dark tresses for a bleached platinum style, per People. While she seemingly enjoyed the bright new look, it has taken her hair years to recover.
"it's taken a year but my hair has finally started to forgive me for bleachgate," she said, before asking followers for more advice. "dark haired girls who have made it to hair health again comment your tips like it's group therapy."
The Fifth Harmony alum also shared some snaps from her life lately, including plenty of photos showing off her hair transformation, from casual messy buns in the studio to sleek styles captured in mirror selfies.
In June 2024, Cabello explained that she drew inspiration for her blonde style from other artists who would often switch up their looks.
"Changing my physical appearance like my blonde hair or fashion — whatever I do, I learned how exciting that is from people like Madonna or David Bowie," she said, adding, "Always keep it fresh for people."
