BTS is back!
On Tuesday (January 13), the K-pop group — comprised of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — announced they are returning for a massive new world tour after a years-long hiatus, per Pitchfork. The tour kicks off this April with a set of shows in Goyang, South Korea, and will take the popular group to several countries, performing in cities across the globe well into 2027.
As of Tuesday, 79 shows across five continents have been confirmed, but more cities set for 2027 will reportedly be announced at a later date.
In addition to the tour, BTS is also preparing to release a brand new album, their first in six years and a follow up to 2020's Be. While no details about the project have been revealed, aside from a release date of March 2020, Variety reports, there have been a few hints at what the BTS Army can expect.
The group, which is reuniting following the completion of military service by all seven members, said in a statement that they are "approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started." RM confirmed as much during a Weverse livestream in July 2025.
"Since this is a full-group album, it will reflect everyone’s thoughts," he said. "We’re approaching it with the mindset of going back to our roots."
