Halsey can't seem to escape the past and continues to be haunted by a video that they claim people "still [make] fun of" them for.
The "Ego" singer recently sat down for a chat with SubwayTakes, which conducts interviews while in the subway, where they were asked if they could sing their favorite song they have put out, "Nightmare" off 2021's If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power. However, Halsey quickly shut that request down, adding that they are still mocked for the time they sang in public years ago, per UPROXX.
"I can't do it here, I can't do it here. I sang in public one time like 10 years ago and everybody still makes fun of me for it," Halsey said, referring to the viral video that surfaced in 2016 of a younger Halsey singing "I Miss You" by blink-182 while in a mall in Philadelphia.
Elsewhere in the chat, Halsey gushed over how "amazing" fellow New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen, how The Bear star Ayo Edebiri is "the future" and they "would do anything for her," and their "insufferable" choice for their favorite movie.
Halsey is getting ready to release their upcoming "confessional" concept album The Great Impersonator on October 25, tellings fans while revealing the album cover that they "made this record in the space between life and death."
