Dave's vacation to Los Angeles! Hollywood, Super Nintendo World and More!

I'm on the plane right now from LA back home. Wanted to take a few minutes to show you some pictures of my trip!

We stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. Such a cool old historic place. Here is a view out of the Hollywood sign.

And out the other window of Hollywood Boulevard.

I love the pool with the palm trees. You don't see that at Lake Minnewashta!

Of course the best part is we got to see Carson!

The Roosevelt hotel was built in about 1929. It is so old-school and I love it. The first ever Academy awards were held here. And if you have ever gone to Disney in Florida, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror hotel lobby is based on this lobby.

Susan got all excited when she saw this restaurant in West Hollywood. It's a restaurant from the Show Vanderpump Rules.

I got a kick out of this sign at a bar in West Hollywood!

We stopped by Carson's house and I always get a kick out of the fact that when he's on tour with Lauv, he is responsible for carrying this piece of equipment as a carry-on so it never gets lost.

We went to Universal Studios and they have a new section called Super Nintendo World. It was so cool!

Of course Carson and I had to get the watches that interact with the games in the park.

Punch the blocks and score points, just like in the game!

In the Simpsons part of the park I played this game…

And won Carson this stuffed doughnut!

We stopped by the "Psycho" house…

Where Norman Bates wanted to kill Susan.

Had to get a picture with Krusty the Clown!

We had to get a picture of the shark from Jaws.

Carson wanted to find out which Harry Potter house he would belong to. I guess it’s a cross between Slytherin and Gryffindor. That means nothing to me and I probably didn’t spell them right but he thought it was pretty cool!

The Roosevelt hotel has a game room with classic games.

We took a walk along Malibu Beach.

And looked out at the ocean.

We hiked up into the Hollywood Hills as high as we could go!

We made it!

We had such a great time and of course, it was so good to see Carson. I'm so proud of him. He leaves for China with Lauv Thursday morning for 3 weeks. I reminded him that he should stop and soak it all in because one day he'll look back on this as one of the best times of his life.

I think we all need to be reminded of that sometimes. I sincerely hope this is one of the best times of your life.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to look at my pictures!

-Dave
