There are people who get excited when fast food chains announce new, healthy options. I've never met any of them, but I imagine they find a way to enjoy their lives. For everyone else, there's THIS:
KFC is rolling out a new menu item called a "Chizza." The name is a mash-up of "chicken" and "pizza," and it's pronounced "cheet-za," so it rhymes with pizza.
It is NOT fried chicken on a pizza. It's pizza ON fried chicken. So, the fried chicken fillets are the "crust" with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni on top. It sounds like those are the only toppings for now.
The Chizza will be available at most KFC locations nationwide, starting next Monday. They say it's a "limited time" thing, but it's unclear HOW limited. It costs $9.99 on its own, or you can make it a combo meal for $12.99.
