Have you seen this? A group of women put together a list of 28 places women do NOT want to go on a first date. And it's very comprehensive.
About half of it is CHAINS: Cheesecake Factory, Chili's, Applebee's, Chipotle, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Denny's, IHOP, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop, Red Lobster, Waffle House, "any fast food chain," and "any buffet."
The list also includes: Going to the movies, watching Netflix at home, and going to the guy's house. It says women also don't want to spend a first date going to church with you, to the gym, to sporting events, or to family functions.
Ice cream and coffee dates are also a "no," along with bowling, nightclubs, hookah bars, any bar "just for drinks", and "somewhere that requires a long drive."
Some people are laughing at this saying that it basically covers EVERYTHING, and they want to know what IS an acceptable first date.
But others are saying that this just nixes all the boring, stale ideas, and encourages you to come up with an exciting, fresh plan that could be more memorable than the standard first date.
One idea might be trying something NEW to both of you.
There's a new survey out that says the average American hasn't tried a new restaurant in FIVE MONTHS . . . partially because they're "creatures of habit."
So. why not use a first date as an opportunity to venture out of your comfort zone. It doesn't have to be fancy and expensive. Like, just try out the new local burger spot.
