This weekend was a little busier than the last few! It's been over a month since we watched any pups but this weekend we got double with Olive and Bosco :)
Saturday, Tina's friend, who is now also my friend, Tom, had a Gopher Game party. It was so hot out that we ended up staying inside in the air conditioning for most of it. I did however get out for a game of beer pong. Falen was my partner and we got crushed, lol.
Sunday, I had plans to go to my friend Tony's parent's house on Summit to cheer on the runners and have a chili cook-off. Waking up to the news that is was cancelled was so shocking. I really didn't think that would be a thing considering people run marathons all throughout the summer in heat but I do understand that they were being cautious. Tony had texted us that they were still doing the party AND that people were still running on their own. So we were able to cheer on a bunch of runners!
It really was so hot out. I applaud all of you that still got out there and ran! And even if you didn't, congrats on the training and fingers crossed this never happens again *cough Mother Nature cough*
It was a strange day to do a chili cook-off with the heat but that's what they do every year for the marathon so they still moved forward with it. All the chili's were so good and I hammered a huge bowl of my favorite after we picked a winner!
I might be in this week, I might not because I'm still waiting to find out if I have to report for jury duty. Stay tuned!
