AMC Theaters Will Start Selling Generic Candy, Because

The price of going to the movies keeps soaring, but AMC Theaters has found one way to keep prices down: GENERIC CANDY.

The CEO of AMC says that the prices THEY are being charged for wholesale candy have gotten out of control since the pandemic . . . so they came up with a plan to "manufacture their own private-label brand of popular candies."

The idea is that they could make their own stuff and charge LESS money for it and still have a higher profit margin than carrying name-brand sweets. They didn't say which candies they'd be mimicking.

AMC says their candies will start showing up at concession stands as early as THIS FALL. They WILL still carry some of the name-brand stuff, for anyone who's willing to pay more to get it.
