What's the Right Amount of Exercise to Keep Yourself Really Healthy?

How much should you exercise to keep yourself really healthy? Not trying to turn you into a superstar athlete . . . but someone who lives a long life and whose body isn't mostly comprised of bones and ranch dressing?

According to a new study, the minimum amount of exercise any of us needs is about 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week, or 75 minutes of more hardcore exercise.

But people who do four times that . . . so 600 minutes of moderate exercise a week or 300 minutes of serious exercise . . . are WAY healthier.

So what does that mean?

Moderate exercises are things like walking, doing housework, playing golf, or playing with your kid. 600 minutes a week is an average of just under an hour and a half per day.

The more hardcore exercises are things like running, swimming, or other cardio. 300 minutes a week is an average of just under 45 minutes per day.
