Jenny's Colorado Trip in Five Pics!

Every winter I take a group snowboarding trip and this time we headed out to Colorado and hit up Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Vail.

This was an awesome view of the ski village at Beaver Creek from one of the slopes!

I know all these pictures practically look the same but the mountain landscape is my absolute favorite and I feel like every view is breathtaking!

The second day at Keystone was so perfect, soft snow, Spring-like temps, nothing but blue skies. Then we went down a black diamond tree/mogul run and things didn't go so well. I fell the majority of the way through it. Finally I could see the trail to take me out of the trees and I had too much speed, hit a mogul the wrong way, and as Andrew describes it... "I Superman'd up into the air and crashed hard." I hit my upper ribs and chest straight onto another mogul and just laid down in the snow trying to catch my breath for a solid 10 minutes (I also cried). I'm pretty good at snowboarding so I tell this as a cautionary tale that if you aren't experienced enough, stay away from moguls. AND ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET. This photo was prior to that awful crash, haha.

Our group stayed at a house in Silverthorne which is sort of the in between of all the places we were boarding at. The location was great, but the house was not so much. We had the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on that by the second night I started sleeping on the couch. I used to be fine with a couch but now I'm old and everything hurts after snowboarding so it wasn't the most ideal sleeping arrangements.

Had such a great time on this trip but ready for a more relaxing vacation the next time I take some time off, haha.
