Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms. Hope you had an amazing day!
I went back to Fond du Lac for the weekend to see the family and to spend Mother's Day with my mom. I don't think I've been home for a Mother's Day since before I left for college. I got back Friday night and gave my niece her birthday present. It's a bowling set and my nephew kept crawling and knocking it down which my niece was NOT having so then she'd knock everything down and never really used the ball, haha.
My sister and brother-in-law live on the lake so I always go watch the sunset if I'm there at night. My niece loves to be outside so we sat on the dock for a half hour as the sunset and then stayed a little bit after because she didn't want to go inside.
Saturday we went to a place called LaClare Creamery. It's a goat farm/creamery combo right outside of Fond du Lac . I bought some Aged Cheddar Goat Cheese and a Pepperjack Goat Cheese. Super excited to try them! I made my niece sit on this cute picnic table and attempted a photoshoot but she's not the biggest fan of smiling for pictures, haha.
Sunday my little sister cooked a Mother's Day lunch. When I tried to get a selfie with my mom, my niece had to be in it too.
After lunch, they surprised me with a birthday cake. My birthday is next Monday and is also something I never get to celebrate with them since I'm a state away so it was a wonderful surprise. My mom got a Brown-Eyed Susan cake which is my favorite!
