The Royal Family is still dealing with the fallout from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. According to a new report from the Sunday Times, Prince William is still "very upset" with his younger brother over the situation.
Not only is the Duke of Cambridge upset over the interview, but he's also reportedly still dealing with lingering feelings of anger and disappointment over the Duke of Sussex's decision to step away from the family business. "Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother," a source told the Times. "They shared everything about their lives, an office, a foundation, meetings together most days and there was a lot of fun along the way. He'll miss it forever."
Despite his conflicting emotions over Harry's decision to leave, as well as speak out about their falling out on television, a friend of William's told the outlet the heir is "absolutely intent that he and Harry's relationship will heal in time."
William was reportedly most "upset" by Harry and Meghan's statement following their royal exit, which rebuffed the Palace's official comment on the situation, particularly their decision to ban them from using the word "royal" in any of their future brandings. "While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word 'Royal' overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use 'Sussex Royal' or any iteration of the word 'Royal,' " the Sussexes' statement read.
"That was it for William, he felt they'd blindsided the Queen in such an insulting and disrespectful way," the source said of William's reaction to the statement.
Though things may be strained between the brothers right now, Harry made sure to tell Oprah he loves William "to bits" and will "always" be there for him even though they are on "different paths."
