Dave's Weekend in Five Pictures! Look! Ava's Smiling!

Well hello!

Thanks for checking out my weekend in five pictures! Here we go!

Susan went to see my daughter Allison's little girl Ava on Friday and I know babies don't really smile at 2 1/2 weeks but she sure looks like she is here!

Carson was out of town so we went on a dinner cruise on Lake Minnetonka. Very cool! Just one suggestion: Go on a lunch cruise or an earlier dinner cruise. It got dark an hour into our cruise and the captain couldn't point out landmarks and expensive homes after that which was kind of a bummer, but it was still nice!

Saturday was a big day! I sold Clipadoos and copies of my book at the Excelsior Flea Market all day. I met so many cool people! Including these three...lovin' that retro KDWB t-shirt! You can check out this year's selection of KDWB shirts here.

Carson and I were invited to an Eagle Scout ceremony on Sunday and even though Carson has been out of Scouts for over a year, he put on his uniform and Eagle neckerchief to honor the occasion.

Speaking of honor, I was very honored to receive a Mentor pin (bottom one on my collar) from one of the boys who made Eagle. Congratulations Tom and congratulations Nick!

One note about this picture. I'm wearing a neckerchief slide my dad made back when I was a Boy Scout. Apache was the name of our campsite at camp that summer and we were Troop 170. I think Dad would be pretty proud to have this worn at an Eagle Court of Honor.

I hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for checking out my blog!

-Dave
