Well, aside from the crazy storms Saturday afternoon, the weather was perfect this weekend! Hot, but not crazy hot. We kept pretty busy and had a great weekend! Here's my weekend in five pictures.
Carson and I have been playing a lot of golf this summer and if you golf, you are aware of the expression, "Drive for show, putt for dough", meaning, sure, a long straight drive is nice, but putts and pitches are worth just as much and no one likes to practice those. So we got this little putting mat to practice on.
Friday night we were at Enki Brewing in Victoria and ran into Susan's best friend's son, his girlfriend and their dog, Thor.
Friday, David, who listens to our show, invited me on a benefit motorcycle run out of St. Paul Park.
I rode part of the route then went off on my own and promptly got lost! The cell reception was weak so I couldn't get maps to download on my phone. I used the compass app which got me even more confused. I actually rode around in a giant circle until I could figure out where I was. It was a great ride, only made a little worse when I got stranded by the two storms Saturday. See my Instagram @daveryankdwb for a video of the downpour!
Sunday, we played 9 holes at the Chaska Par 30, which is a pretty easy, short, and open course, perfect for us! It was a beautiful day and we decided we need to make golfing a regular Sunday thing.
Later today, Allison and her husband are coming over to grill out. She's only about 2 weeks away from having the baby and we are all so excited!
