This weekend my mom, sister, and niece came to visit. We did tons of typical Minnesota things. First we hit up Mall of America to eat at Wahlburger's and do some shopping.
We also swung by Ikea where I proceeded to do a photoshoot with my niece.
Saturday we grabbed coffee at Quixotic and brunch at Highland Grill then headed over to the Winter Carnival!
After the carnival, we also went to check out the US Pond Hockey tournament at Lake Nokomis.
And right when my family was ready to leave on Sunday, they went outside to see my mom's car got hit. I felt so bad because I purposely had them parking on a side street because it was less risky to be hit. We found out what happened because multiple other cars had been hit. A drunk driver was being chased by two state troopers, he turned on the side street, smashed into one car, ricocheted off that one and side swiped my mom's car and the one behind her. Proceeded to drive away and hit other cars until he finally crashed so bad and then got out of his car and tried to run but the state troopers caught him. I'm so happy they caught him. Not the greatest ending to the weekend but if 2018 taught me anything, it's that life happens.
Still living that dry January life for another week so we'll see what next weekend brings!
