Boomers AREN'T happy about people being condescending and now there's a message going around that you could be FIRED for dropping it at work. It comes down to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 that bans people from creating a hostile work environment over someone's age . . . and "OK, boomer" qualifies.
Here's the craziest part, the rule does NOT apply both ways. It only applies to people over 40, so your older coworkers are free to make millennial jokes with no repercussions.
