Jenny's DC Trip in 10 Pics!

I headed to DC this week to go and support Intern John's (he used to have my job on the show) comedy tour. The first day we headed to The National Mall and checked out the Smithsonian. I tried to stay overnight and see if the displays come alive but they kicked me out. (Night At the Museum reference)

One of my favorite displays was The Star Spangled Banner. They don't let you take pictures inside but it's really cool. Definitely check it out if you're ever in town. It's in the National Museum of American History.

We didn't have a ton of time at the National Mall but also got to see the Washington Monument.

Friday night was John's show. It was the last show of his 3rd comedy tour and he's raised over $30,000 for The Fisher House Foundation throughout his tours. It was a great show and I'm so proud of everything he's been doing.

After the show we went out to celebrate so we headed to a bar called Public in Dupont Circle.

One of my good college friend's lives in DC now so we got brunch together and then went to the Old Town neighborhood. I'm a big fan of checking out the architecture in different cities so I really enjoyed walking around this area.

Saturday night we went to The Wharf. It's a great area filled with bars, restaurants, and shops along the Potomac. We grabbed an over-priced cocktail at Whiskey Charlie's. It was a really cool penthouse lounge bar and had a great view from the patio.

I of course had to try some oysters while in town. I've never been a huge fan of oysters, they're a little too slimy for me, but these were pretty good. This was at Rappahannock Oyster Bar.

It was unseasonably cold there and as soon as I got back it was snowing and I see highs in the teens tomorrow. Looks like the cold is following me, so I apologize for that. But I'm excited to be back on the show tomorrow!
