For years, I've gone to Colorado every few months to spend a few days and recharge, see family, ride the motorcycle, and relax. But I hadn't been much the last year because it was Carson's senior year and I wanted to spend as more time at home with him.
Now that he's away at college, I didn't waste any time in getting out to Colorado. I get to see my son Chase, I fix up a few things around the house here and I get to relax and recharge a little.
Here's my weekend in five photos!
I drove and really enjoyed it. I took two days and listened to music and podcasts and thought about life.
There's an old bar in my hometown that's been there since the 40s. I usually stop in to see if I know anyone there. There was a band playing with a young drummer. I mean really young. Since Carson is a drummer, I wanted to talk to him. Between sets, I found out he's 12 years old and has been playing for four years. He kicks ass! Very impressive!
Sunday morning, I ran in the Race for the Cure and saw this iHeart Radio tent. I stopped to say hi, cuz most radio people either know each other or know a lot of the same people. The woman in pink used to work with the guy who gave me my first real job in radio when I was 17. Small world!
That's me, Chase's fiance' Maddie and Chase before the start of the race.
And Chase and Maddie crossing the finish line.
That's it from Colorado! I hope you had a great weekend!
Thanks for looking at my blog!
