I joined my kickball league 2 1/2 years ago and I'm so happy I did. I just completed my 5th season and we won the championship! Shout out to my team, Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe! And shout out to all the wonderful teams we played along the way.
So, here's the rundown. I play in Club WAKA. It's fun but also competitive. It is a drinking league but you obviously don't have to if you don't want to. We have a sponsored bar we go to after games for some flip cup competition. We also have a mid-season party, end of season party, and post playoff party, so many social options outside of simply playing kickball.
I know I'm an extrovert and will talk to anyone, but the league is very welcoming so even if you're not as outgoing as me, I can guarantee you will also make new friends and have fun while you're doing it. Some of my closest friends I made through the league. I've done trips to Lutsen and brewery crawls and tons of other things with these awesome people. My social calendar is pretty much constantly full because of this league and while some weekends I don't feel like doing anything besides sitting inside watching Netflix, at least I have the option if I want to do something!
So if you're miserable working that boring 9-5 and looking for something to add excitement to your life, I suggest joining my kickball league, or any league really!
