Man! It was freaking hot this weekend and I have to share the best way to stay cool and it only costs 79 cents at Super America. The ultimate Diet Pepsi Slushy, start off with a 1/3 of a cup of ice, then add 1/2 a cup of Diet Pepsi then top if off with cherry slushy and I PROMISE you'll never drink anything else ever again.
We ended up going to Basilica Block Party on both Friday and Saturday night and you can't tell from the picture but on Friday I was SOAKING WET from sweat, it was out of control. The show was great, the crowd was great and the most memorable takeaway was the fact that Hanson fans LOVE TO DRINK. Hanson played on Saturday, when they were done, I saw a number of HAMMERED women staggering away from the stage.
Saturday before heading over to Basilica we went for dinner at Rainbow Chinese in Minneapolis. I've lived in the Twin Cities for 15 years and how have I never been there? OMG! It was freaking amazing, had the egg rolls and the Rainbow fried rice, wow....it was freaking amazing. I loved everything about it.
The final big thing that happened over the weekend was Isaac had a two day tryout for soccer. It was freaking hot and here he is on Sunday afternoon after the tryouts.
