Bride Uses Smart Tactic to Save on Wedding That Ended Up Costing Only $4k

Weddings can be incredibly expensive, but one bride found a smart way to save big on her nuptials by ordering pretty much everything - including her wedding gown - from Amazon Ashley and Tre Hicks recently tied the knot in Raleigh, North Carolina and when they first started planning their big day, one thing they knew they wanted was to not start their new life together in debt for the wedding.

Their wedding planner understood and suggested the couple use Amazon as a way to get lots of options and quick delivery. Ashley got to work, ordering everything including bridesmaids dresses, jewelry, and even her own wedding dress on Amazon. Her online shopping skills really paid off and she spent less than $4,000 on the whole thing. The newlywed says the only things she didn’t get on Amazon were the food for the reception and the groomsmen’s suits.

But buying online didn’t mean this bride had to sacrifice with her wedding gown. After trying on fancy gowns in stores and realizing there were very similar dresses available online for less, she got her “perfect” wedding dress for only $100 and she was thrilled with it. Ashley says the quality was “definitely really good” and the vendor even asked for her measurements before hand to have it custom made - at no extra cost.

This bride says the key to successful shopping on Amazon is to research reviews and follow size charts carefully. It all worked so well for Ashely, now she says, “Amazon is amazing!”
