Helle Crafts was a beautiful Danish woman who met her husband, Richard, an airline pilot while working as a flight attendant. The two were married after she got pregnant and ended up settling down in Newton, Connecticut and from day one their relationship was described as nothing short of rocky. After being together for nearly a decade, Helle decided that she wanted a divorce and let her lawyer and friends know that if something happened to her it would not be an accident. She warned them that Richard had been abusive and had “a lot of guns' but it wasn't enough. The story behind the murder of Helle Crafts is so bizarre that it ended up inspiring an Oscar nominated movie.
