Tina's Hawaii Photos Pt. 2

I'm back!!

Hawaii was beautiful & warm, but I'm honestly really happy to be home! Check out the photos from the second half of my trip!

Monday morning my sickness peaked. I had a spa appointment booked for that morning & I guess if there is ever a time to be sick, it's when you're in a hella nice spa with steam rooms & saunas & cold towels with essential oils.

They gave me this bougie robe to wear & like croc sandals.

We had dinner at Ama Ama, which is a nice restaurant at the resort. Unfortunately I was dying through dinner and had to go up to bed early. Being sick in paradise isn't fun people.

Tuesday was our last full day on the island, so we enjoyed it by sitting around and doing nothing.

...and by eating shave ice.

(the Mickey ears were an extra dollar, but it felt necessary)

We had dinner at Monkey Pod again and I celebrated my birthday a little early with cream pie.

Monday night, I saw on Instagram that Joe Rohde was on his way to HI to stay at our hotel (which he helped build).

If you're not familiar with Joe, he's a veteran executive at Walt Disney Imagineering. is the lead designer of Animal Kingdom, and the principal creative force behind Expedition Everest (aka one of the greatest coasters of all time). Joe also helped design the brand new Pandora in Animal Kingdom. If you haven't been to Disney recently, you HAVE to check out Flight of Passage!! It's INSANE.

Anyways... Joe is a hero to my Dad & I and we actually had the opportunity to chat with him for a bit Tuesday night, funny enough, in the The ‘Ōlelo Room, which was Joe's personal project at the resort. Getting to stand in a room with one of the most iconic Imagineers of all time, that HE designed and getting him to show you all the nuances only he knows, was a once in a lifetime experience.

Finally it was time to head home.

My mom and I took a morning walk along the rocks.

We hit one more traditional Hawaii spot.

And then it was time to head home (which was not fun in the least)

I had such an amazing time in Hawaii, it was awesome to be warm for a bit and miss all the snow storms, but I truly am happy to be home!

BONUS PHOTO of my mom and I at the luau I just found!
