Ya gotta love a 3-day weekend. Not only do you get an extra day off (at least I hope you did!) but when you get to work on Tuesday, it's already Tuesday! So that's good!
I had a good weekend, binging on a TV show Falen told me about, and hanging out at home, with a little adventure tucked in there too. Let's get started!
I love feeding the birds. I put out seed for them and love watching them come by. But this asshole kept coming by Friday night and emptying the feeder as soon as I could fill it. Yes, it's a deer, and it's gorgeous and blah, blah, blah. But come on, go forage somewhere else! Even Josie was annoyed!
Falen told me about a show called "Pen15" which is an old joke because it looks like Penis. But this show is so great! It's about two very average 7th graders in 2000 who are learning about boys and relationships and themselves and it's so sweet and awkward and so funny! Plus it has tons of great 2000 references. I got through I think 7 episodes this weekend. It's on Hulu.
And kiteboarding. I had a lesson on Lake Minnetonka and I was super-excited. But it was way harder than I expected. I never really got going and once when I almost did, I landed hard on my knee and that was kind of it. 2 and a half hours of attempts but no success. I'd like to say it was fun, but it was more of an adventure that I'm glad I tried. This was the only picture I got that hard even part of me in it.
As part of our ongoing decluttering project, this wall was full of boxes of junk and old unwanted books until a couple of weeks ago. Got rid of all that and Monday, Carson and I put up shelves to, what else? Stack more crap on. Actually, when we finished them, there wasn't that much crap left to stack on them. So it must be working.
Monday, we all promised ourselves we'd do something special, so we had fondue. It's fun, it's slow and it forces conversation, which was great.
