Throwback Thursday: The Biggest KDWB Snowman Contest from the 1960s

KDWB has been around for quite awhile and maybe you heard about a contest we did back in the 60's where whoever could build the biggest snowman won a color tv. Back in 1969 the winning entry was a group of students in St. Michael built a HUGE snowman, something no one would ever allow to happen today.

Last week, we got a second picture from a listener of their families entry in the contest and I can sense they're still a bit sour about where they placed.

'Here is a picture from the 1960's when North St Paul, MN had a snowman building contest. Our family got 2nd place because the fire department used the ladder truck to win.'
