31 Breastfeeding Secrets

Parents Magazine has done it again. I still subscribe to their emails, even though nearly all their articles are for parents of young kids and Carson is 17.

I thought I'd pass this one along to you. Whether you decide to breastfeed or not is a personal decision and it's up to you. Susan didn't breastfeed Allison but she did with Carson for about 6 weeks until we found out he was having a bad reaction to it and he had to stop.

As for tips, here's an example from right here in Minnesota:

Focus on those little feet. "Babies always seem to nurse better when their feet are touching something, like your leg, the arm of the chair, or a pillowtucked next to you. It makes them feel more secure." --Veronica Jacobsen, a doula and lactation counselor in Richfield, Minnesota.
