The Unger Family's Christmas Wish

Dear Dave Ryan & Crew,

I am writing to you about a wonderful family, in hopes you can help brighten this Christmas season for them.

I want to start of by saying Robin and Laura have been so kind and generous to everyone and have never passed up an opportunity to help someone in need. Nearly 2 years ago they unexpectedly took in 4 really great kids who were in need of help. Their mother was dealing with some serious health problems and was unable to care for them, and ultimately they lost their home.

Robin and Laura opened their home, and welcomed these kids with open arms and made the children feel comfortable in their time of need. What was to be temporary safe place for these kids to call home has been nearly 2 years. In the midst of the first year Laura also cared for her niece and nephews many nights of the week as her sister stayed in the hospital with her nephew who was battling leukemia. It’s been a very full house and challenging couple of years but they continue to love and provide for these children and would never ask for help or assistance.

I have seen first hand what they do on a daily basis to help these children succeed. They have provided a place for them to call home, food, and all necessities they have needed for the past 2 years.

Financially, things got very tight after the first year and they are even tighter now, especially with the holidays right around the corner. I have seen both Robin and Laura put their own needs aside and go without just to make sure they could still provide for the children. These are two of the most selfless & kind hearted people that anyone could be lucky enough to have in their lives. I know it would mean a lot if you could help show them that everything they do doesn’t go unnoticed, and help make this holiday season a little easier for them.

Thank you for all you do!
