How to Fall Asleep in 120 Seconds

So many people have trouble falling asleep. I'm not an expert but I'm guessing it's because we're busier than ever, not just with work but with social and online stuff. We also keep our phones next to our bed (I don't but most people do) and we check them right before we try to go to sleep.  So whatever we saw on our phone replays in our mind.

Plus, we just think a lot! And when you think, you can actually keep blood flowing to parts of your brain that need to shut down in order to sleep.  So what do you do?

Try what the US Navy teaches it's pilots.

  • Totally relax your face.
  • Drop your shoulders.
  • Arms and legs limp.
  • Lie down if you can. Feet flat on ground if sitting up.
  • Repeat, “don’t think, don’t think, don’t think” to clear your mind.
